Out of Nothing
By Ilya Chervony · American Chanson
Read lyrics
I was walking through the city lights,
With an old guitar and a tired soul.
Carrying all my yesterday,
Trying to find where I belong.
Rain was falling on empty streets,
The night was cold and long.
I never knew one little moment
Could turn my dark into a dawn.
Out of nothing, out of nowhere,
You came like a summer breeze.
Out of silence, out of shadows,
You brought my heart back to me.
I had no map, I had no answers,
Just a dream I kept inside.
Out of nothing came a reason,
Out of nothing came my life.
I remember that little café,
Your eyes, a song, a glass of wine.
Two strangers lost in the evening,
Not knowing you would become mine.
Maybe life is just a highway,
Full of roads we never choose.
Sometimes what we never search for
Is the only thing we need to find.
Out of nothing, out of nowhere,
You came like a summer breeze.
Out of silence, out of shadows,
You brought my heart back to me.
I had no map, I had no answers,
Just a dream I kept inside.
Out of nothing came a reason,
Out of nothing came my life.
And if tomorrow takes us somewhere
Far away from yesterday,
I'll remember that a miracle
Can find us when we lose our way.
Out of nothing, out of nowhere,
A new road opened wide.
Out of darkness, out of loneliness,
You were standing by my side.
I had no map, I had no answers,
Only hope inside my soul.
Out of nothing came forever,
Out of nothing I found home.
